June 21st – June 27th Kourion Amathus Gate Cemetery – Episkopi, Cyprus

Returning to the Island after a long hiatus…Working on drawings to help complete what the late Professor Danielle Parks began years ago – a memorable time…Will be working in concert with Smadar Gabrieli and Trine Wiseman.  Looking forward to the beauty of Cyprus and especially the cliffs and waves of Kourion beach

I am extremely thankful to Frank and Anthea for letting me stay with them , and to Frank for making so many arrangements for me and keeping me company!  Thank you!  Being in Episkopi/Erimi etc was a lot of fun and productive.

and of course there was Sotiri!! and Daisy too – Frank and Anthea’s  pets!!  A nice little comfort to be around pets while away from home!

June 28th – August 14th Mitrou Archaeological Project - Tragana, Greece

Always a pleasure to return to Tragana, in central Greece, and work with Aleydis Van de Moortel and everyone in the apotheke. Working on drawings of ceramics, figurines, weaving implements for various people’s publications and research projects.  Looking forward to walks to the beach and watching the sunset every night.

And to having surprise guests from home! Bob Sudds stopped at the apotheke on his way to northrn Greece – what a nice surprise to see Jenna’s dad!

July 18th  - July 31st Livatho Valley Survey - Kephalonia, Greece

A brand new experience this year on the island of Kephalonia in the Ionian Sea to work with Christina Haywood in the Livatho Valley.  Excited to meet new people and work on new material and to not know what to expect…And looking forward to returning to Kephalonia after that long ago trip with Joanne.

So far the island is extremely beautiful – Stunning!
